Fri - Oct. 19, 1917 Drill until 10:00 A.M. then run a 3 mile relay race & won several other races pulled off. Hike this afternoon Went up into the timber came out at a farm house raided the apple orchard had a lot of fun. Wrote to Berniece and mailed it on the train. |
Sat - Oct. 20, 1917 Drill all morning put in my application for signal corps bum around all afternoon took the train to Portland on a pass train 1 hour late at Amer. Lake slept most of the way to Vancouver train was 1 hr. & 20 min. late at Portland come home eat a bite and go to bed |
